Independent Study - UE4 VR NASCAR Prototype - Fall 2019

This is the culmination of 15 weeks of work on creating a prototype of a VR NASCAR simulator with Unreal Engine 4. The track is based off of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and I attempted to create an almost faithful rendition of the track for this. This uses basic vehicle blueprints, with the controls mapped to both Keyboards and VR headsets and controllers. The perspective of the player when in VR is a first person view from the drivers seat, where they control the car and race along the track at over a hundred miles an hour in full VR.

I intend to come back to this project during the break between semesters, and fully flush this prototype out with all new models and environments using all of the knowledge that I gained from working on this the past 15 weeks.
